Pastry Chef Mata Korakis started Mata’s Confections in 1989. Through word of mouth the business grew, and it didn’t take long for the major hotels to start using our services. Now, we serve the entire Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area.
The business is family owned. We LOVE what we do! Every aspect that goes in preparing every single order is done with a strict attention to detail. From the freshest ingredients, to the firmness and texture of the cake batter, to the sweetness of butter cream, to the elaborate and artistic decorations… ALL done with “sweet love”… just for YOU!
